We fund, support, and connect local charitable projects for the common good in your community.

how miina helps

Miina brings logistics and connection around special projects that deserve a charitable structure. We’re building networks of volunteers, donors, and entrepreneurs around community causes! We want to partner with creative and resourceful people who are ready to make a difference right where they live.

Miina exists to help bring people together. The best way to address poverty and strengthen education is to support local people who are already doing good work for their neighbours.

"What stood out most was how I was treated with dignity and care. From housing support to education resources, every step felt thoughtful and personal. This foundation made a real difference for my family when we needed it most."

Questions about Miina?

Miina is pioneering an unprecedented kind of charitable network, and we want it to grow. We’d love to unpack some of the main questions we hear about our work.

01

Do I have to be a member of Miina to reach out for help, or to suggest a new charitable project?

Absolutely not! As connectors, we love bringing all sorts of folks together. Some volunteer and donate for a season – other people in our network only participate in limited projects for a short time. If you have an idea that would benefit your community, we want to hear about it! If you or someone you know needs help, we’ll do everything we can to assist you.

02

What sort of initiatives qualify for Miina support?

We specifically look to support projects that address root causes of economic hardship, provide new avenues of education to local communities, and those projects which provide a measurable social benefit. But we also have a broad network of contacts that assist us in other types of projects that fall outside the scope of our mission.

03

Are these charitable projects tied to any particular group, geography, or affiliation?

Miina is a Canadian nonprofit located in Warman, Saskatchewan. So far, most of our projects have been launched from Saskatchewan – but we are not exclusive about our focus! Miina works with and serves individuals from every religion, ethnicity, sexual and social identity without discrimination. We exist “for the good of all”.

04

How can I partner with Miina Foundation?

We’re always looking for new connections! You can participate with Miina in one of three broad roles: Volunteers, Sponsors, and Supporters.
We need volunteers for our existing projects (such as the Warman Food Bank), as well as for occasional “one-off” volunteer opportunities that have limited commitments (such as volunteering for a fundraiser gala). We are looking for sponsors who can sponsor our current ongoing projects, as well as donors to sponsor new community initiatives. All giving over $25 qualifies for a charitable giving receipt for income tax purposes. We’re also looking for more supporters – and in our context, a supporter is someone who is part of our broad network of contacts we can turn to when unique opportunities come up. Maybe you make furniture! Maybe you’re great at organizing door-to-door fundraising efforts. Perhaps you have a truck a family in need could borrow to help them move out into better housing. Whatever the connection is, we’d be happy to have you as part of our network. When you reach out, we’ll ask a few questions to understand your capacity and availability – and we’ll make sure our requests fit inside the parameters you set for us.

05

Does Miina accept donations?

Our work is in a growth phase, and we’re looking for donors and ongoing sponsors to help us increase our capacity.
You can give by eTransfer to: donations@miina.foundation. All donations over $25 qualify for a charitable giving receipt for that calendar year.
